Description
10" (25 cm.) Each is a bisque head doll with large blue glass enamel eyes,painted features,closed mouth,mohair wig,on firm carton body and legs,with metal hands,standing upon a three- wheeled tinplate platform which,when wound,causes the doll to glide forward and move in circles,all the while turning its head and waving its arms up and down. Condition: generally excellent,costumes are original albeit frail. Comments: Vichy,circa 1865. Value Points: the delightful luxury toys include a young lady and young lad in original Louis XVI style costumes,she with garland of flowers and he with grapes and vines.
