Description
21" (53 cm.) A paper mache dappled horse with flannel coat is posed as though prancing,with
decorative harness and parade feathers and amber glass eyes,attached to a wheel base and
pulling a fanciful woven wicker cornucopia sleigh that is decorated with lace and silk flowers.
Seated in the sleigh is a bisque head girl with glass eyes,closed mouth,brunette mohair
wig,wearing her original coral silk and lace gown and bonnet. The sleigh rests upon two large
spoked wheels and two small tin wheels. When pulled along,the horse prances up and down.
Condition: generally excellent,one small tin wheel lacking which does not affect the action.
Comments: Germany,late-19th century. Value Points: wonderful and imaginative toy depicting a
storyland parade float.
