12" (30 cm.) Each has pressed leather face with oil-painted complexion and facial features,tiny
black enamel eyes,black mohair wig,wrapped body covered with woven flannel blanket which
encloses both mother and baby,wooden feet. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Mary
Francis Woods of Portland,Oregon,created the portrait dolls of Native Americans,circa 1920,first
of leather as this example. Value Points: rare-to-find and wonderfully artistic portrait by
