18" (46 cm.) All-cloth doll with firmly-pressed socket head with oil-painted complexion and
features,blue upper glancing eyes with thick red and brown upper eyeliner,short feathered
brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with very full lips,brunette human hair bobbed wig,jointed
arms,separately-stitched thumbs,disc-jointed legs. Condition: generally excellent. Comments:
"Kamkins",the doll was patented in 1920 by Louis Kampes and sold on the boardwalk in Atlantic
City for about ten years; the specialty of the dolls was their artistic facial painting,and stylish
costumes of couturier quality. Value Points: pristine condition with fine original painting,wig,near
mint body,and wearing original cotton dress and undergarments under brown velvet coat with
matching cap and leggings,shoes.
