Description
5" (13 cm.) and 5 1/2". Each is all-bisque with sculpted hair, swivel head and glass sleep eyes, including Bonnie Babe with toddler body, open mouth with laughing expression, painted white socks and pink one-strap shoes; and Bye-Lo with baby body and painted white socks and pink one-strap shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, 1920s, commissioned by George Borgfeldt from original copyright designs by Georgene Averill and Grace Putnam. Value Points: charming little pair with fine quality of bisque and painting.
