Description
7" (18 cm.) All-velvet dog with jointed head,articulated arms and legs,stitched-on ears,has
painted features,red felt tongue,and embroidered paws. He has his original button "Chad Valley
Bonzo". Excellent condition. The amusing dog was based upon the illustrations of the comical
dog Bonzo,created by G.E. Studdy; Chad Valley won the exclusive rights to Bonzo cloth
figures,beating out Steiff who had competed for the rights. Rare and wonderfully-preserved
figure with original button,circa 1927.
