22" (56 cm.) Porcelain shoulder head of adult lady with elongated face and throat,black sculpted
hair in elaborate fashion waved from forehead into large crown of curls that are formally
arranged at the back of head and tumble into a large tendril at the neck,with unusual wide part
at the crest that is decorated by a black hair ornament,painted facial features,large blue
eyes,sculpted pierced ears,kid fashion body with gusset jointing,separated fingers. Condition:
generally excellent,few rubs on hair at back of head. Comments: Germany,circa 1870. Value
Points: the elegant lady with rare coiffure wears a lovely early gown,undergarments,leather
boots. Ex-collection Legoland Museum of Antique Toys and Dolls.
