Bisque shoulder head depicting a young man with sculpted short dark brown hair in deep curls,topped by a sculpted grey Tyrolean style cap with black band and green painted edging,painted facial features,blue eyes,red and black upper eyeliner,lightly-feathered brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with outlined lips,original commercial muslin body with paper mache lower arms and legs,fancily painted grey boots,antique costume. Condition: generally excellent,paper mache right ankle reglued. Marks: F. Comments: Germany,circa 1880. Value Points: very rare model with unusual sculpted cap having fine decoration,and rare dark brown hair,original body.
