Description
20" (51 cm.) An ebony-painted black base with blown glass dome covers an elaborate
arrangement with of ormolu accessories with wedding themes,including fernery
leaves,marguerite flowers,beveled mirrors,and love birds,which support a maroon velvet cushion.
Centered in the arrangement is a porcelain face clock. Overall excellent,one small flake at
winding hole,clock works may need adjustment. French,circa 1875,the globe de mariage were
arranged for a young couple to celebrate their wedding and marriage hopes; the porcelain clock
is an added and seldom-found accessory.
