Description
17" (43 cm.) All-cloth doll with pressed and oil-painted facial features, painted reddish/brown hair with forelock curl, small shaded blue/green painted eyes, white eye dots, black and brown upper eyeliner, accented nostrils, tiny closed mouth with pensive expression, stitch-jointed shoulders, wide disc-jointed five-seam legs, separately-stitched thumbs, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent, some professional retouch at back hair. Comments: Kathe Kruse, Type I, circa 1920. Value Points: endearing little fellow whose smaller eyes and mouth lend an especially charming expression.
