Bisque swivel head on bisque torso with loop-jointed arms and legs,having painted tabby cat "fur" and sculpted pink ruffled-top slippers,brown glass googly-shaped side-glancing eyes,cream nose with freckles,tiny mouth modeled as though open,rope tail. Condition: one stringing loop repaired. Marks: 891 (front neck opening and limbs) Tag Trademark Copr by Georgene Averill 891 Germany. Comments: designed by American artist,Georgene Averill,as a companion to her pup model,Rag,the amusing wide-eyed cat doll was distributed by Borgfeldt,circa 1920; the model was created with various color combinations of fur and boots. Value Points: very rare model by known artist,few examples exist.
