24" (61 cm.) Pressed bisque socket head with oval elongated face,large blue glass paperweight
inset eyes,thick dark eyeliner,painted dark curly lashes,brushstroked brows,mauve blushed
eye shadow,shaded nostrils,closed mouth with shaded and outlined lips,separately-modeled
pierced ears with blushed detail,brunette mohair wig over cork pate,French composition and
wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent.
Marks: 9 EJ (small block letters on head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile
Jumeau,the earliest period of the EJ model,1881. Value Points: rare model in sought-after size
9 has original body and body finish,and is wearing original Jumeau couturier dress of
burgundy wool cashmere and silk with lace trim,along with antique undergarments (may be
original),stockings,leather ankle boots signed C.P. and ruffled lace and silk frou-frou bonnet.
