18" (46 cm.) Carved wooden socket head with well-defined sculpting of facial features,ears and
hair,having dark brown hair with deeply-defined comb-marks waves from face into a tight bun at
the nape,painted brown eyes,thick black upper eyeliner,brown one-stroke brows,closed
mouth,fully-sculpted ears,all-wooden body with dowel-jointing at shoulders,elbows,hips and
knees. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Huggler of Brienz,Switzerland,early-20th
century. Value Points: rare large size of the hard-to-find doll has superb sculpting,and is all-
original,wearing well-detailed traditional Swiss costume including wonderful patterned wool
petticoat and original shoes.
