16" (41 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass sleep eyes which operate from wire lever at back of head, dark eyeliner, painted lashes and brows, rose blushed eye shadow, accented nostrils, open mouth, two rows of porcelain teeth, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over Steiner pate, Steiner composition fully-jointed body with bisque hands. Condition: generally excellent, professional restoration to right hand. Marks: J. Steiner Bte SGDG Bourgoin (red ink script) Sie C 1 (incised) (eyes signed Steiner). Comments: Jules Steiner, during the Bourgoin era, circa 1884. Value Points: beautiful bebe with rare eye mechanism, bisque hands, original body, antique costume included leather shoes signed "Modes de Paris".
