17" (43 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate,almond-shaped grey enamel
eyes with darker blue iris rims,dark eyeliner,painted lashes,wide feathered brows,accented
nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with upturned lip corners in slight smile,accented
lips,pierced ears,blonde mohair wig over cork pate,French kid poupee body with gusset-jointing
of hips and knees,wooden arms with dowel-jointing at shoulders,elbows and wrists,separately-
carved fingers. Condition: generally excellent,wood finish is original albeit scuffed. Marks: G.
Comments: Leon Casimir Bru,circa 1872 with deposed facial model of the smiling poupee,and
variation of his deposed wooden body. Value Points: beautiful expression with well-defined
smile,lovely bisque,original body,fine antique gown,undergarments,shoes,bonnet.
