16" (41 cm.) Creamy thick paste porcelain shoulder head with hand-pressed details and very delicate pink-tinted complexion,slender oval face and very elongated throat,defined bosom,sculpted rich brown hair looped around her blushed ears with tiny curls behind each ear,with loosely-coiled chignon at the back of the head,painted blue eyes with large black pupils,red upper eyeliner,brown brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with full lips,leather stitch-jointed body with new porcelain arms,lovely antique costume. Condition: two small chips at bottom of shoulder plate,typical paint rub on chignon. Marks: 111 (inside back shoulder plate). Comments: attributed to Royal Copenhagen,circa 1850,ex- collections Mildred Seeley and Mildred Adkins. Value Points: an especially beautiful and rare doll with wonderful coiffure and delicate blushing.
