18" (46 cm.) Bisque shoulder head of lady with oval face,elongated throat,brown sculpted hair
with feathering at the forehead line,drawn away from her face into a coronet at the back of
head with two centering full curls,with ornamental diadem of royal blue with gilt edging,white
beading and a magenta bow at one side,and with an elaborately-sculpted bodice with gilt-
edged white pearls,Dresden ribbon-candy design yoke of pink luster with painted decorations
at the sides,painted facial features,blue eyes,red and black upper eyeliner,single stroke
brows,closed mouth,pierced ears,newer muslin stitch-jointed body and bisque limbs,wearing
beautiful antique gown of coral silk with lace and pearl bead trim,undergarments. Condition:
generally excellent,restoration to pink bow of diadem. Comments; Germany,circa 1870. Value
Points: the rarity of the exquisite lady is occasioned by the number of luxury factors in her
design including brown hair,elaborate coiffure,diaden and bodice with elaborate sculpting and
painting.
