24" (61 cm.) Bisque shoulder head of adult lady with elongated oval face and slender
throat,black sculpted hair in extremely-detailed coiffure,the deeply comb-marked hair waved
away from her face with feathering accents and little curls in front of each sculpted ear,large
pouf at each side of face with a capturing wide braid at each center,and the remainder of the
hair in a very tight chignon captured by fine mesh sculpted snood with beaded outline,blue
upper glancing eyes,red and black upper eyeliner,single stroke brows,very thin nose with
accented nostrils,closed mouth with full lips,muslin body with bisque lower limbs,painted
black ankle boots,beautiful antique silk and velvet gown. Condition: generally excellent.
Comments: Germany,circa 1865. Value Points: an extraordinary coiffure whose rarity of design
is rivaled by intricate detail of sculpting,all enhanced by rich decorative glaze.
