12" (30 cm.) Waist-up porcelain figure of man and woman posed as though dancing a tango,their
heads both turned to the side and arms held together and up,each with sculpted hair in 1920s
flapper era style,and with painted facial features and sculpted costumes (he with tuxedo and she
with yellow halter top. The figure is attached to a hidden lamp which serves as their lower torso
and has attached matching porcelain legs,on self porcelain base; an original lace skirt for the
woman covers the lamp portion. Excellent condition. Germany,circa 1920,an extremely rare half
doll lamp with intertwined double figures of both upper body/head and lower legs,wonderfully-
preserved.
