14" (36 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate,cobalt blue glass enamel
inset eyes,dark eyeliner,painted curly lashes,feathered brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth
with center accent line,earring hole pierced into head,closed mouth,brunette mohair wig over
cork pate,wooden body with highly-polished enameled finish,shaped bosom,attached-ball-
swivel waist,ball and pin jointing at shoulders,elbows,hips,knees and ankles,extra-pivot
jointing at upper arms and legs,bisque forearms. Condition: generally excellent. Comments:
circa 1860 with intricate jointing system that is based upon the use of thin brass plates or
pins that are just visible at the jointing slits,and which allow exceptional articulation; the
maker is unknown. Value Points: very beautiful poupee with finest bisque,extremely rare body
with artistic qualities including infinite articulations and pristine original polished finish.
