5" (13 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque torso,cobalt blue glass enamel eyes,painted
lashes and brows,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with shy tentative smile,blonde
mohair wig in long braids,peg-jointed bisque arms and legs,bare feet. Condition: generally
excellent. Marks: 0. Comments: French,circa 1882,the dolls were first described as ?poupees de
poche" (pocket dolls) and thereafter as ?mignonettes" in the French holiday catalogs of Parisian
department and doll stores. Value Points: especially pretty face with dainty features,wearing
original lace and muslin dress.
