German All-Bisque Seated Doll with Rare Ormolu Sleigh

3 1/2" (9 cm.) doll. 4 1/2"l. sleigh. All-bisque doll has swivel head and jointed arms in bent pose,one-piece torso and legs modeled in seated pose with side-posed legs,brown glass eyes,painted lashes and brows,closed mouth,blonde mohair wig,painted stockings and ankle boots,maroon silk dress and bonnet with lace trim. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: early model of Simon and Halbig,circa 1880. Value Points: very rare early doll with beautiful face,swivel head,unique body,fine costume; the doll is seated in a very rare ormolu miniature sleight with bells (ex-collection Mary Merritt Doll Museum).
