15" (38 cm.) Carved wooden head and torso with elongated throat,almond-shape black enamel
eyes,fringe-dotted eyes and lashes,closed mouth,brunette wig,carved wooden arms and legs
with jointing at shoulder,elbows,hips and knees. Condition: fair,original finish albeit flaking on
face and torso,typical craquelure,fingers broken. Comments: England,late 18th century. Value
Points: the early doll wears early (worn) day dress,is seated in early wooden chair with
carving,alongside an early walnut six-leg gate-leg table with rich original finish; the chair and
table are included.
