16" (41 cm.) Bisque socket head with very full plump face contrasted with very pale
complexion,almond-shaped blue/grey glass enamel inset eyes,dark eyeliner,mauve-blushed
eye shadow,feathered brows,rounded nose with accent dots,closed mouth with center accent
line,dimpled chin,pierced ears,lambswool wig over cork pate,French composition and wooden
eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists,flat-cut derriere,wearing multi-layered
luxurious silk costume and ruffled frou-frou bonnet,leather shoes,stockings. Condition:
generally excellent,two tiny chips hidden at bottom of neck socket. Marks: Sch (in shield) 1
(head) (Schmitt shield stamp on bottom of torso). Comments: Schmitt et Fils,circa 1882. Value
Points: enchantingly beautiful bebe with superb painting around the eyes enhanced by delicate
mauve eye shadow,original body and body finish.
