paperweight inset eyes,dark painted lashes,rose blushed eye shadow,thick dark brush-stroked
brows with feathered detail,accented nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with tiny
"stuckout" tongue tip,pierced ears,blonde mohair wig over cork pate,padded stockinette over
armature body with composition lower arms and legs. Condition: generally excellent,small
paint miss below left ear. Marks: F. 8 G. (head,shoulders) Gesland Bte SGDG Paris (body). A La
Providence 74 Rue de Rivoli (shoes). Comments: Gaultier Freres with Gesland body after the
depose of Pannier,circa 1888. The doll was sold in the Paris toy and doll shop A La Providence.
Value Points: beautiful doll has wonderful antique costume of red woolen dress with black
velvet trim,undergarments,red woolen stockings,original fancy black leather shoes with store
label.
