23" (58 cm.) Bisque shoulderhead, brown sculpted hair arranged with elaborate tiny ringlet curls at the forehead centered by a sculpted black hair comb edged in gilt, side of hair drawn back behind the pierced ears into rolled curls overall back of head, inset cobalt blue glass eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, thin feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with defined center line, antique muslin stitch-jointed body, kid arms, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1870. Value Points: outstanding example of early sculpted hair lady whose rarity points include brown color of hair, unusual coiffure, glass eyes, hair ornament, antique jewelry, larger size.
