17" (43 cm.) All-cloth doll with three-seamed head construction,painted brown hair in curls
tumbling onto her forehead,shaped ears,amber-green painted eyes with distinctive
threading,black and brown upper eyeliner,tinted brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with
pouting expression,stitch-jointed arms,separate thumb,disc-jointed legs. Condition: generally
excellent. Marks: Kathe Kruse (left foot) Kathe Kruse Made in US Zone Germany (label) .
Comments: Kathe Kruse,circa 1945. Value Points: all-original in impeccable condition,the little
girl wears her factory-original costume and is preserved in her original box which is hand-
lettered "Margaretchen". The doll,and her companion,#144,appeared on the cover of Theriaults
auction catalog of November 2000.
