19" (48 cm.) Bisque shoulder head of lady with oval face,brown sculpted hair with unusual
braided arrangement at forehead crest centered by a large Dresden rose with trailing garlands of
tiny roses and leaves,the sides of her hair drawn back into two tiers of braided loops,one tier
forming wide wings at the side of her face,painted blue eyes,red and black upper eyeliner,single
stroke brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth,blushed cheeks,pierced ears,and having a fancily
painted bodice with a ruffled Dresden collar edged with gold beading,old muslin stitch-jointing
body,leather arms,beautiful antique gown. Condition: generally excellent. Comments:
Germany,circa 1870. Value Points: very rare coiffure with unique details of style and
decoration,fancy bodice.
