Description
6" (15 cm.) waist to top of cap,12" overall. A porcelain waist-up figure of lady with slender torso
framed by a sculpted gilt collar with decorative medallion,has brown sculpted flowing hair that
extends to her mid-back and is covered by long flowing blue scarf and a tall cone-shaped hat
with elaborate gilt,purple and blue decorations,with painted facial features,side-glancing grey
eyes,and closed mouth. The doll has at attached carved wooden body with ball-dowel jointing at
shoulders,elbows,hips,knees and ankles,and slender bisque lower arms. Excellent condition.
Germany,from the Dressel & Kister Medieval Series,circa 1910,an extremely rare model with
outstanding sculpting and decoration.
