11" (28 cm.) Pink-tinted porcelain shoulder head of adult lady with slender face and elongated throat,midnight-brown painted hair with feathering details around the forehead,her hair waved back into a looped coronet at the back and with a single large flower with leaves behind each ear,painted blue eyes,red and black upper eyeliner,one-stroke brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth,kid lady body with shapely torso and mitten-style hands,antique ice-blue silk gown,undergarments. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany,circa 1850,the model known as Morning Glory Lady was created by several firms during the mid-19th century. Value Points: rare petite size,perhaps the smallest known,of the desirable model with exquisite painting of hair.
