Description
4 1/2" (11 cm.) Waist-up porcelain figure of lady with head inclined modestly to her side,one arm held behind the yellow bonnet that sits to one side of her sculpted brown hair,and the other arm modeled away from her body daintily posed below her waist. She has a sculpted very ornate low-bodice blouse,orange ribbon at her throat,gold bracelet,rose ribbon in her bonnet,and exquisite painting of facial feature,especially eyes. The figure is posed on a half-ball shaped base with 12 sew holes,most unusual to find. Excellent condition. Germany,circa 1910,possibly Volkstedt.
