Description
7" (18 cm.) overall. Comprising a waist-up porcelain half doll of lady posed in an exuberant
back-flung manner of head and one arm,the other arm resting on her hip,with painted facial
features and bracelets,and wig; she has a paper mache formed midriff,which is attached to
separately-modeled porcelain legs with bare feet and ankle bracelets,posed on porcelain stand
with palm leaves,and gilt lettering "Dancing Girl"; a sequined gown with wire skirt edging to hold
its shape covers the two pieces at their junction. Marks: 19125 (incised on base). Excellent
condition. Germany,circa 1920s.
