9 1/2" (24 cm.) Paper mache shoulder head with very elongated slender face and throat,slightly-
modeled bosom,black sculpted hair with three long ringlet curls arranged on each side of face
and a tightly-coiled chignon at the back,painted blue eyes,tiny lips,slender kid body with wooden
lower limbs,painted red shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany,circa 1850.
Value Points: rare coiffure,the early doll with well-preserved wearing wonderful original costume
with three early transfer-print designs on pantalets,dress,and apron.
