Description
20" (51 cm.) Porcelain shoulder head with thick cream porcelain,perfectly oval face and elongated
throat,brown sculpted hair with centerpart and drawn smoothly around the face forming into a
skull cap,blue painted eyes,red eyeliner,brown single stroke brows,aquiline nose,circle accents at
eye corners and nostrils,closed mouth with slightly-smiling expression,lightly-blushed
cheeks,muslin stitch-jointed body,leather arms,antique costume. Condition: generally
excellent,few typical paint rubs at back of head. Marks: KPM (blue stamp inside head).
Comments: KPM,late 1840s. Value Points: rare early doll with most compelling serene
expression,rare brown hair,with pencil note on the inside shoulder plate "Mary Devereaux lst
