mohair wig on cork pate,French composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition:
generally excellent. Marks: 2 (head) Comments: Emile Jumeau for the Paris department store,Au
Bon Marche,circa 1890. Although actually a classic tete bebe model,the doll was marketed as
Bebe du Bon Marche,suggesting to patrons that it was a custom doll created solely for that store.
Value Points: a rare doll,in pristine unplayed with condition,with original soft curly mohair
wig,pate,body,body finish,earrings,muslin chemise dress with red embroidery and red silk
banner labeled "Bebe du Bon Marche" in gilt letters,and in original labeled box.
