5 1/2" (14 cm.) Bisque swivel head with heart-shaped face on kid-edged bisque torso,elongated
throat,torso and limbs,cobalt blue glass enamel eyes,painted lashes,feathered brows,accented
nostrils,closed mouth,blonde mohair wig in hip-length long braids,peg-jointed bisque arms and
legs,wooden ball-joints at elbows,bare feet. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Bte.
Comments: French,circa 1880,the ball-jointed elbow system has been attributed to Schmitt et
Fils. Value Points: very rare to find mignonette is perfectly-preserved,with rare elbows,original
silk and lace costume and cap,original wig.
