4 1/2" (11 cm.) Porcelain waist-up figure of lady who is nude excepting a wide collar-shaped
necklace with gold tassels,her head turned demurely to the side and her arms modeled away
from her body and extended to the side as though dancing or charming; having a sculpted gold
helmet-like turban with turquoise and blue decorations,pink scarf cascading down her back,and
a gold topknot ornament,with gold bracelets,brown narrow painted eyes,closed mouth. The doll
has the Dressel and Kister blue bishop staff mark. Excellent condition. Germany,circa 1910,the
extreme rarity of the piece is rivaled by its extraordinary sculpting and decoration.
