9" (23 cm.) overall. h. 7" diameter. Waist-up porcelain half doll of nude lady posed looking to the
side,with elaborately sculpted brows hair decorated with sculpted gold band and comb,painted
facial features,arms posed away from body with exquisitely sculpted fingers. The figure is ?
wearing" a gilded metal halter top with pierced design to appear as though lace,and is attached
to a pink porcelain vanity box with further gilded metal filigree trim,the box designed to appear
as a skirt. Overall excellent,original Dresden flowers on skirt are lacking,possible restoration to
fingers. For the French market,circa 1900,with original porcelain half doll by Volkstedt-
Rudolstadt. Outstanding and very rare vanity box with richly-sculpted half doll.
