Description
4 1/2" (11 cm.) Each is all-wooden hand-carved figure depicting a man and woman,with well-
defined facial features,painted hair (the woman with sharp pageboy arrangement) and painted
facial features (the man with painted moustache,shirt collar and tie),and having dowel-jointing at
elbows and knees,pin-jointing at shoulders and hips. Condition: generally excellent. Comments:
American,early 20th century. Value Points: excellent folk art craftsmanship with well-defined
features,acquired by Mary Young from the Mary Merritt Doll Museum at its closing.
