Description
5" (13 cm.) Midriff-up porcelain figure of lady with an extended right arm and a basket
containing two green/ coral fish held in the crook of her left bent arm. She has a white fitted cap
with flared corners and gold and rose ribbons,and wearing a blue flower-sprigged blouse with
gold accents,The facial painting is delicate and exquisite. The figure rests on a 1 _" bisque base
designed to be attached to a high-waisted costume. Marked with Kister blue bishops staff mark.
Excellent condition. Germany,Dressel & Kister,circa 1920,very rare subject surely inspired by
early painting.
