13" (33 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate,very deep blue glass
paperweight inset eyes,dark eyeliner,painted lashes,brush-stroked and feathered brows,accented
nostrils and eye corners,closed mouth with outlined lips,pierced ears,brunette mohair wig over
cork pate,French kid poupee body with shapely waist and one-piece jointed arms and
legs,antique costume and bonnet. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 3 (incised,and artist
check marks on head). Comments: Emile Jumeau,circa 1880. Value Points: very pretty example of
the petite poupee by Jumeau enhanced by finest bisque and painting,and splendid eyes of great
depth,original body and lovely costume.
