Description
10" (25 cm.) excluding head-dress. Wax swivel head with angular face, blue bead eyes, white mohair rolled curls, wooden carved torso, wooden lower arms and legs to above the knees, carved and gilt painted sandal lacing. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Continental, late 1700s. Value Points: the very rare figure is wearing original ivory silk costume with beading and gilt thread accents, matching head-dress with gilt edging and tri-color plumes, and has detachable carved wooden angel wings with gold leaf finish.
