Description
22" (56 cm.) Bisque shoulder head of adult lady with heart-shaped face and elongated
throat,brown sculpted hair arranged with wavy curls across the forehead,then pulled softly
behind the fully-sculpted pierced ears into a large rolled curl at the crown that is decorated
with a magenta and gilt hair ornament,with arranged curls at the back forming into little curls
at the back neck,bright blue glass inset eyes,black eyeliner,painted lashes,feathered
brows,accented nostrils,closed mouth with center accent line,modeled bodice with very high
ruffled collar,painted stringed pink necklace with green cameo on gilt chain,scalloped-blue
edging,old muslin stitch-jointed body,sewn on leather shoes,antique magenta silk gown.
Condition: possible overpaint at the V of neckine (below the pink striped neck
ribbon),otherwise excellent. Marks: S (or 5) P 7 (incised). Comments: Germany,circa 1865.
