6 1/2" (17 cm.) Porcelain waist-up half doll depicting a fashionably-dressed lady in the 18th
century style,her sculpted brown hair circled by a wreath of Dresden flowers that trim the inside
brim of a very wide sunbonnet trimmed with coral bows,with very fancy bodice having transfer
designs of colorful flowers and gilt accents,arms extended from body with lavender fingerless
gloves,beautifully-painted face with delicate smile. Excellent condition,albeit professional
restoration on one loop of bonnet bow,and reglue of one tiny piece on bonnet streamer.
Germany,circa 1900,marked with blue crown over N stamp. An important piece notable for
extraordinary sculpting,this example in very rare grand size.
