24" (61 cm.) Bisque swivel head with very plump cheeks and throat on kid-edged bisque
shoulder plate with modeled bosom and shoulder blades. almond-shaped very deep blue
glass paperweight eyes with spiral threading,dark eyeliner,dark painted lashes,mauve blushed
eye shadow,brush-stroked and multi-feathered brows,accented eye corners,shaded
nostrils,closed mouth with defined modeled teeth between the outlined shaded teeth,pierced
ears,blonde mohair wig over cork pate,very plump kid bebe body with gusset-jointing of hips
and knees,kid-over-wooden upper arms,bisque forearms. Condition: generally excellent,body
especially firm and sturdy,small bisque repair to right elbow joint (hidden under kid). Marks:
(circle dot symbol) Bru Jne (head) Bru Jne 9 (shoulders). Comments: Leon Casimir Bru,his facial
model with very plump cheeks known as "circle/dot" in reference to the makers mark at the
back of head,circa 1880. Value Points: very rare large size of the early model with finest
quality of bisque,splendid eyes,painted teeth,perfect and exquisitely sculpted hands,and
wearing aqua velvet,silk and lace dress that is likely original,undergarments,woven
stockings,cream kidskin shoes,and wide-brimmed woven bonnet.
