14" (36 cm.) All-wooden carved polychromed figure of young boy with ruddy complexion, deeply carved tousled flowing brown/black hair, inset enamel eyes, rounded nose tip, closed mouth with firmly-set downcast lips, one-piece head and torso, mortise and tenon-jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees. Condition: generally excellent. Genoese, mid-1700s, attributed to the workshops of Pasquale Navone, wearing original costume with striped velvet short pants, serge vest, and brown velvet jacket.
