Description
9 1/2" (24 cm.) Each has solid wax head with sculpted highly-defined facial features,inset enamel eyes,closed mouth,hair tufts,and with all-wooden body with dowel-jointing at hips,knees,shoulders and elbows. Condition: generally excellent,some wear on original painted body finish,one thumb chipped. Comments: early 19th century,probably southern Germany. Value Points: the wooden-bodied early dolls wear fine original silk costumes.
