20" (51 cm.) Hard plastic socket head,torso and legs with jointing at hips and knees,rigid vinyl
arms with shoulder and elbow jointing,dark blue sleep eyes,lashes,closed mouth with
reddish/coral lips,brunette curled hair. She is wearing a wedding gown with fitted separate
bodice of white lace over rose silk underblouse,with long fitted sleeves and collar,matching
overskirt that attaches to the bodice in the back (and with zipper closure) and floor-length
skirt of narrowly-pleated rose tulle over four layers of petticoats (two tulle and two
taffeta),panties,stockings,silver sling heels,pearls,solitaire ring,and a lavish coronet that
completely frames her face and is comprised of tiny baby_s breath,and rose and white petals
on lace-covered wire frame,long veil,and gorgeous bouquet of white roses and petals. The
costume is tagged Madame Alexander. Excellent condition overall. Alexander,1956,the model
is known as "Lucy Bride" as the gown is a replica of the gown worn by actress Lucille Ball in the
1956 film "Forever Darling". It is likely the doll was never put into production,possibly created
as a prototype or exhibition model only,and is as extremely rare as it is exquisitely beautiful.
