16" (41 cm.) All-wooden carved polychromed figure of elderly gentleman with bald pate except forelock curl and neatly "combed" short hair at sides and back of head, very thick full flowing beard, moustache, inset enamel eyes, parted lips with defined teeth, one-piece head and torso, mortise and tenon-jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, very expressive posing of fingers, wearing silk costume with metallic braid trim, green pants, long cape. Excellent condition. Genoese, mid-1700s.
