Description
17" (43 cm.) All-cloth doll with three-seamed head construction, very plump cheeks, painted brown hair with forehead curls, shaped ears, amber-green painted eyes with distinctive threading, black and brown upper eyeliner, tinted brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with pouting expression, stitch-jointed arms, separate thumb, disc-jointed legs. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Kathe Kruse (left foot) Kathe Kruse Made in US Zone Germany (paper label and with ink lettered name "Jackerle"): Kathe Kruse, circa 1945. Value Points: the little boy is preserved in impeccable condition, wears his factory-original costume. The doll, and his companion, #307, appeared on the cover of Theriault's auction catalog of November 2000.
